Kohli forces Australia to run for cover

Virat Kohli smashed 115 off 66 balls

Virat Kohli smashed 115 off 66 balls

Rohit Sharma began the chase with a four.
Did look like a good omen. For the right-hander and opening partner Shikhar Dhawan were going great guns, summoning fours and boundaries at will. Glenn Maxwell did them a favour by dropping Dhawan on 19. They cashed in, adding 178 runs for the first wicket in a jiffy. Aaron Finch then sent down a half-tracker that, Sharma miscued, with the ball in James Faulkner’s hands in deep midwicket.

A minor detail. They were chasing 351 for a win.

No butterflies. As Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli continued the onslaught, as George Bailey realized that his opponents were staging a counter attack. Dhawan (102) brought up his hundred, celebrating with a fist pump that, after dropping his bat. One ball later, he exposed his stumps, in an attempt to clear the fine leg fence. India 234/2.

Panic is a word that doesn’t exist in Kohli’s dictionary, as he picked the gaps with ease, with the shots flowing all around the park. The half-century came off the 31st delivery he was facing, with Xavier Doherty and Mitchell Johnson bearing the brunt. The gods probably felt that life wasn’t fair, and they allowed Johnson to provide the twist in the tale.

Short ball to Suresh Raina. The batsman brought out the pull, missed, as the ball ended up in Brad Haddin’s hands. He had to walk off as umpire Nigel Llong gave him out. Two balls later, the ball managed to sneak through Yuvraj Singh’s defence as Australia came back into the game. India 290/4. 60 runs needed from 42.

No problem.

MS Dhoni (25) joined Man-of-the-Match Kohli (115) and the two soaked in the pressure, without showing it. Kohli went after Faulkner to bring up his 17th hundred off 61 balls, third-fastest by an Indian. He kept his foot on the gas, turning the heat on Shane Watson in the penultimate over. Needing six from the final six deliveries, Dhoni provided the finish touch as India won by six wickets with three balls remaining.

It didn’t start that way at the VCA stadium in Nagpur.

Earlier, tons from George Bailey (156) and Shane Watson (102) powered Australia to an imposing total of 350/6, their fourth 300+ score in the series. After being put into bat by the hosts, the duo got together, after openers Phillip Hughes (13) and Aaron Finch (20), with the score yet to cross the first milestone of 50.

Then came the no ball.

Watson hit a delivery from Ravindra Jadeja, a tame shot that comfortably ended up in Rohit Sharma’s hands. The batsman walked off, only to be recalled by the umpire after it came to light that Jadeja had bowled a front foot no ball. To rub salt onto his wounds, Bailey was caught off the free hit. After a brief lull, in-form Bailey and Watson decided to accelerate. To be fair to them, the Indian bowlers helped them free their arms.

The spinners were not spared, as the sixes began to rain, nine of them. Amit Mishra was offering flight, but was very slow in the air. Bailey used his feet, while Watson swung hard, as Dhoni started talking to his bowlers. Short deliveries didn’t help either, as Bailey managed to pull off the pull stroke with ease. The Indian skipper understood what was happening and turned to Mohammad Shami for over no.34. Powerplay time for Australia.

Shane Watson creamed three fours to bring up a century. Then came the dreaded gap between bat and pad, and the right-hander had to walk back after making 102. Glenn Maxwell’s (9) dismissal made no difference to Captain Bailey as he continued to punish the bowling. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, paid the price, getting smashed for three fours in over no.38.

He soon brought up his century, and that gave him the license to cut loose. With Adam Voges (44) for company, Bailey helped Australia cross 300, and hung around till the final over, before being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. The left-armer provided another déjà vu moment, having Voges caught and bowled. Off another no ball.

Jadeja managed to pick up Mitchell Johnson, off a subsequent delivery. But there was nothing to celebrate for they had allowed the Kangaroos to score 350/6.

First Jaipur. Now Nagpur. 701 runs scored. Four centuries. The second successful 350+ run chase for India in the series. The batsmen will rule thanks to the new rules.

God save the bowler. Please.

Ranji Trophy: Sachin Tendulkar leads Mumbai to victory against Haryana

Ranji Trophy: Sachin Tendulkar leads Mumbai to victory against Haryana

Ranji Trophy: Sachin Tendulkar leads Mumbai to victory against Haryana

Sachin Tendulkar hit an unbeaten 79 as Mumbai beat Haryana by four wickets in their Ranji Trophy Group A match at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli on Wednesday.

Tendulkar hit six boundaries in his match-winning knock that helped Mumbai gain six points.

Chasing 240 runs on a Lahli pitch which exhorted batsmen to exhibit some skill, Mumbai finished just 39 runs short but lost six wickets in the bargain on Tuesday.

A considerable part of Tendulkar’s career has been spent playing lone ranger, a beacon of brilliance amid mediocrity. As can be expected in such situations, happy endings aren’t always a guarantee. When they do come they are the icing on the cake, a tangible gift to make the effort worthwhile.

And playing probably his last Ranji Trophy match, Tendulkar ensured he was there at the crease and not biting his nails in the pavillion and his unbeaten knock also ensured that Mumbai did not suffer a heartbreak like they did in 1991 when Tendulkar last played against Haryana and Mumbai fell just two runs short.

After 24 years of hard toil, including a decade and a bit in which he was single-handedly expected to carve every India victory, after a lifetime spent battling cynics who turned on him every time he didn’t finish a game, there was no rest for Tendulkar. Not even in his last Ranji Trophy game.

This was supposed to be a festive farewell, a seemingly cushy affair pitting the defending champions Mumbai against the relatively weaker Haryana, but instead the ball has largely had the upper hand to make it a fascinating contest of high standards.

Like always, Tendulkar’s team needed his bat to do the talking. And Tendulkar responded with trademark determination.

At stumps on Day 3, Tendulkar scored his 115th first-class half-century to close things out and avoid any mishaps.

That was a great four

True. The focus is on the retirement of a 40-year old human being.

Sachin Tendulkar has decided to catch up with his retired teammates

Sachin Tendulkar has decided to catch up with his retired teammates

But then think about it. It was a chain with four bright beads. One. When Sourav Ganguly left the game, the left-hander left the team behind with the aggression he had taught them to harness. Two. Rahul Dravid showed how brickbats could be deftly fashioned into a tough wall of defence, that could drive away both bowlers and critics. Three. VVS Laxman’s wrists would be written off, but he learnt to raise his bat, and not his voice. Those who threw the projectiles were forced to turn to prose.  It is now time for the fourth champion to leave. A jewel like the rest.

There may not be four musketeers, but there are four seasons for certain.

Sachin Tendulkar is retiring in November. On the 18th to be precise. Looks like it is going to be winter then. The end of an era that made Indian batting a ‘fource’ to reckon with.

Like four members in a music band. These men were born in the 70s, coming together to bat in the 90s and onwards. Under their helmets and caps, they enjoyed the songs of victory, while surviving the cacophony that follows a loss. But all four were lead singers in their own right, operating in duets when they came out to strike. One could lead the attack, while the other would watch. The second a wicket fell, the third, could defend and defer. Out came the fourth, to do everything of the above. All of them did open for their country.

Confused? That’s the idea. You choose the context.

One is odd, but four is even. Having breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner at the same time isn’t gluttony if we want to discuss the exploits of four cricketers at one shot. The world loves to talk about Bishan Singh Bedi, Erapalli Prasanna, Srinivas Venkatraghavan and Bhagwath Chandrasekhar. Gents who spun their way around batsmen.  Right?

Just that in this case, we are talking about four great cricketers plying the opposite trade.

A square has come full circle, and it is going to be a while, till we see so much talent living together in any international dressing room. These were four gentlemen, who came from three different directions in India, with bats that forced people to run to the stadium. They didn’t say au revoirtogether, they would have never been allowed to. But whenever one member of the quartet quit, it was sad and comforting at the same time, to know that someone from the group continued to exist.

Not anymore. Unlike musicians, cricketers cannot play forever. Great Company: One is odd, but four is even

There may not be enough to justify that the four were a bobsleigh team. But what they did together, is intertwined with what they have achieved alone. Cricket is that kind of a sport, with photographers and headline writers, fans and spectators, looking out for the guy who scored the most on the day. The chances of finding a scorecard, where all four contributed equally with the bat, is next to zero.

The Prince of Kolkata had power. The Bangalorean had grace. The Hyderabadi had style. Finally, the Mumbaikar had the gift. God’s perhaps.

But if you read between the lines, all four of them have done enough to lend each other a couple of their own adjectives. Yes. Their records cannot be shared, and those of you who love statistics would not be pleased if we went there. But there is something in common, if you look at the bigger picture.

Success.

Unlike the three Ws from the West Indies– Frank WorrellClyde Walcott, and Everton Weekes, it is a little difficult to come up with a sobriquet for this Indian four ball. For starters, their surnames don’t start with the same alphabet, and they don’t come from the same island.

Why don’t you come up with a name?

Beamer: Will they ever play eleven bowlers?

BBM for Android clocks 10 million downloads; no more waiting list

The application clocked 1 million downloads on Android the first day. But the waiting list was a bit of an annoyance, which has now been removed, for iOS as well as Android users.

BBM for Android clocks 10 million downloads; no more waiting list

BlackBerry Messenger for Android shows no signs of slowing down, with the application crossing 10 million downloads on Android alone, worldwide. However, not everyone who downloaded BBM on their Android or iOS devices could sign in immediately, because BlackBerry had deployed the waiting list method for a majority of users to ensure there was no repeat of the server load issues that the first release attempt faced. However, that test of patience has now been removed as well, with anyone downloading BBM on their smartphone can now sign up / sign in immediately.

The popularity of BBM during this initial phase of availability can be measured by the respective app stores’ rating of the app. Apple’s App Store lists BBM in the top three free apps listing, while Google Play Store has it at the top spot in the Top New Free Android Apps list, at least at the time of writing this.

BBM’s popularity on Android and iOS is critical good news for BlackBerry, particularly because the company was betting big on huge download numbers to get the cross platform BBM on the map, where Whatsapp leads at the moment.

You can download BBM on your iOS or Android device directly from the application store on the device itself.

How to get the best deals on gadgets and games

Buying at full price is for those with deep pockets? Not quite, everyone likes a good deal whether it’s a brand new product or a refurbished one. We introduce you to the not so secretive world of deal aggregators.

How to get the best deals on gadgets and games

How to get the best deals on gadgets and games

Whether or not you have any inhibitions regarding online purchases, one thing’s for certain – online deals can never be matched by brick-and-mortar retailers. However, for a complete shopping experience you need to have elements of both worlds which would be, one, an abundance of information and reviews. Two, experiencing the look and feel of a product in your own hands. Which is why major brick-and-mortar shops are focusing on improving their digital presence and online retailers and venturing into the physical world. But that’s a discussion for another day, our focus here is on three main scenarios here – purchasing from within the country, outside the country and finally video games online. We’d like to warn you right now that most of these web sites send a bucket load of emails everyday so getting a separate email ID is advised. We’ve featured a few websites which you should go through, though, almost all websites swap content regularly with each other and feature the same deals. After a while it’s quite likely that skimming through deals will become part of your morning routine.

Buying from India

There are an umpteen number of online shops in India and going through each one of them is counter-productive. By the time you are done going through each and every site you risk missing out on a timed deal. Also, not everyone has the time or the resolve to plow through 20-30 websites just to save a few hundred bucks. So here are a sites you need to go through first, if you don’t find a good deal for whatever it is that you are looking for then proceed to the arduous task of scanning each and every site or you could play the waiting game. Buying online from new websites is always a sketchy business, specially when it’s a facilitator between multiple retailers, so do take care when dealing with them. Most web sites that aggregate deals follow a similar format, the only difference is that certain offers are specific to a particular website so you won’t find them on other aggregation websites. This is partly due to affiliate programs and partly due to the actual work undertaken by the site administrators. Free Kaa Maal has been around for about three years now and is pretty much one of the most prominent deal aggregators in India. The site also has a section for coupons but rarely do e-commerce sites allow for coupling of two or more offers so if you do end up getting in on a good deal then it is likely that a coupon can’t be clubbed with it.

Moreover, they also host a forum which covers quite a diverse spectrum of deal hunting. Members vote on certain deals and the feedback decides whether it attains a “featured deal“ status or not. You can even find freebie deals which could entail free home delivery of sample packs. We’ve heard of folks making multiple accounts to get a month’s worth of toiletries. You even get the scoop on international freebie deals, then you can get a bunch of people interested in the same product to get a discounted shipping deal. This is quite similar to a GO(Group Order).

If you doubt the veracity of any of the featured deals then there is even a review section to help settle your qualms. One last thing you can get done is have others help you find a deal on whatever product you wish to buy. While not every query goes answered you can easily expect a few responses. Khojguru is another site which hasn’t been a victim to an aggressive takeover that others which started around the same time have been.

The banality of landing plenty of deals is something that metropolitan cities enjoy and the rest of India doesn’t. For those staying in rural areas, even if you were to find a great deal online there is the possibility that they might not deliver to your location.

Buying from abroad

A very common occurrence is when one of your friends or relatives are coming from the United States, you’d ask them to get a little something for you. Given the free-trade agreements that it has with almost every major manufacturing nation it enjoys the best prices you can find. And to make the deal sweeter we’ve shortlisted a few websites for you.

The most common destinations for buying cheap electronics incidentally has a high volume of Indian tourism. They are Singapore, UK, UAE and the United States. If you’ve got Singapore in your crosshairs then check out Deal.com.sg and Mustafa Online. Both of these are the best places to look for online deals in Singapore, but the actual action takes place at Sim Lim square and Funan Mall. Unfortunately, Funan Mall doesn’t have any price lists which you could refer but stores on Sim Lim square do. We found one particular store which kept an updated list of prices for computer components in particular – BizGram.

For the UK there is Hot UK Deals which should be more than enough for your shopping needs. The United States has pretty much the best prices of them all, and Slick Deals should cover pretty much all of them. Getting $250-300 off on a medium to high configuration laptop is one of the most common deals you can get. International warranty is somewhat a concern here since the policies change from nation to nation, so if you were eligible for a 3 year warranty in the US that might not be the case by the time you get your product shipped to India. However, given the massive discounts one can hardly complain.

The UAE is also a great place to get electronics for cheap but there are hardly any online sites which one can refer to.

Video game deals

There are numerous online game distribution platforms but Steam still reigns supreme. However, the competition is doing its part to change this dynamic. While nothing on the horizon will be able to even remotely dent the market share that Steam enjoys in the foreseeable future, it hasn’t stopped folks from trying. Let’s look at the major players here, they have great deals on their own which is why keeping an eye out on these websites/platforms is something that you shouldn’t skip out on.

Steam

The Mac daddy of them all, Steam has this innate ability to empty bank balances over a period of one week, spread three to four times over the year. Gamers have been known to go on a diet and skip a few meals in order to squeeze in a few extra games into their game libraries. Steam is cross platform too, so it works on Windows, Linux and Mac.

Origin

The success of Origin is purely due to EA’s mighty arsenal of successful games. The fan following is so huge that it took next to no effort to have people jump on to the Origin bandwagon. Though from a deals perspective Origin did very little. It even went to the extent of raising prices in India which caused quite ahuge furore. But all that changed with the Humble Origin Bundle. There has never been a bundle in the history of gaming that could even match up to what EA pulled off with the Humble Bundle.

GOG

If you still reminisce about the great DOS games that you enjoyed as a youngster then GOG is a great platform to check out. What GOG does is that it ports all the classics onto the current OS and removes all traces of DRM. You get 10 free games just for signing up! GOG also features a bunch of new titles including The Witcher series and FTL: Faster Than Light.

GreenManGaming

A relatively new player, GreenMan-Gaming has its own DRM/client called Capsule. What we’ve seen is that its focus is shifting towards Steam DRM and it has a perpetual 20% off coupon system. What stands out about GMG is that nearly all Indian credit and debit cards work unlike on most other stores.

Desura

Desura is pretty much the equivalent of steam for Indie games, if it is Indie then it must be on Desura. It regularly has good deals on India games and you should definitely go through it.

The deal mantra

Now that you know the platforms for which you need to be looking out for, let’s outline a simple sequence which you can follow in order to get the best game deals on the planet. You could always visit each and every site that you come across daily to ensure that you are way ahead of the curve but who on earth has the time to do that? The folks who run these “deals websites,” that’s who! However, no one person is ever going to attain the status of “Supreme Guru of Deals”. Which is why crowd sourced aggregator web sites are the way to go. Our aim is to whittle down the entire process down to as few web sites as possible and the ones we’ve featured below should get you on the path to filling up your game library without spending much.

SteamGameSales

This is the one site that has it all, with a focus on Steam. The first thing you’ll notice is the tab, “magic” that uses their own algorithm to point out the best deals on the websites at that moment. However, we simply prefer sorting according to the discount percentage and then checking the history. They cover eight websites currently and hopefully we’ll see more. Usually games follow a certain pattern and once you view the history chart you’ll be able to guess whether a better deal will be out in the near future or not. It’s a great way to avoid buyer’s remorse. Let’s say a certain game is on deal at 50% off, checking the history might tell you that the game went to an all time low of 80%. So it makes sense to wait out a little while and hopefully bag another 80% off deal. The cherry on the cake is the RSS feed.

Amazon Game Downloads

Amazon comes up with some great deals every now and then, sometimes, even better than the ones on Steam. The only issue here is that they are limited to the United States only (sometimes Canada as included). What you can do is give the address of any of your relatives/friends and get that hurdle out of the way. You don’t need a VPN to subvert region based IP blocking. Amazon has deals for all platforms so you should always check the DRM tag to verify which platform the game is for before buying.

Indie Kings: Bundle Tracker

While the above sites focus on individual games this one deals with bundles. Lately, it has even started keeping track of bundles which have been announced but are yet to start. There is no focus on any particular platform here so you can find bundles for Steam, Origin, Desura and even ones without any DRM. We’ve noticed a slow transition towards tracking individual deals as well but not to the extent that the competition does.

Reddit Game Deals

Pretty much the one source which is pillaged by all aggregators is this particular sub-reddit. Given that each deal has its own little discussion, you might come across better deals in the comments. Or if any subversive (gaming the system) approach is needed to make good on a deal you’ll find the steps here. A word of caution – Steam and other platforms actively ban users who attempt to game the system. So if you’ve purchased a game which is region limited(specially RUS/ CIS limited games) and you do manage to activate it using a VPN then you can expect your account to be limited till you can convince Steam to revert
your account.

Going through all these websites is somewhat a nine-to-five job, so your best bet is to refer to the entire list of websites once a week or only when you wish to purchase something. Video games on the other hand have a completely different dynamic and the sales have little to do with regional holidays as such. And since it is digital import costs aren’t there in the picture so we tend to follow video game deals on somewhat a daily basis. Maybe you should do the same.

Prevented from using Facebook, Maharashtra girl ends life

Facebook Addiction

Facebook Addiction

Parbhani, (Maharashtra), Oct 24 (IANS) A teenaged college girl committed suicide after her parents restricted her use of her mobile phone and social networking sites like Facebook, police said Thursday.

The incident occurred late Wednesday night after 17-year-oldAishwarya S. Dahiwal had an argument with her parents over using Facebook on her computer.

According to investigating officer G. H. Lemgude of Nanalpeth police station in Parbhani, around 500 km east of Mumbai, Aishwarya’s parents had objected several times to her using social networking sites and chatting long over the mobile phone.

“Like all parents, their intentions were only to ensure that the girl did not go astray. They advised her to concentrate on her technical studies and stay away from long mobile chats and social networking sites,” Lemgude told IANS.

After the argument Wednesday night, Aishwarya went to her room, penned a suicide note and hanged herself.

In the note, Aishwarya reportedly wrote that she had been constantly prevented from using Facebook by her parents.

“Is Facebook so bad? I cannot stay in a home with such restrictions as I can’t live without Facebook,” her suicide note said.

The Dahiwal family, comprising jeweller Sunil Dahiwal, his wife and two sons are in a state of shock.

Are you opening your own blog in WordPress? What does it take to make a good WordPress site? Do you have to take a course or read a library worth of books? The fact is that reading this article will give you the base of knowledge you need to start your new site, so check out the advice below.

Structure:

Pay attention to your footer. The bottom of your page does not just have to be wasted space. Instead, put in an important link or work in a few words about who you are and what you do. You could even use the footer to tell visitors a little more about the site itself.

WordPress dashboard interface

WordPress dashboard interface (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

If you haven’t customized your WordPress sidebar, it could be cluttered with useless items that are doing nothing but confusing your readers. Your sidebar should only contain things you actually want visitors to click on. Navigate to Appearance & Widgets to edit the appearance of your sidebar and remove anything there that doesn’t actually benefit you or your visitors directly.

Make use of a landing page. Instead of coming directly to current posts, users will pass through this landing pagefirst. You can use this for a variety of reasons, whether for promoting a product or promoting yourself. Many themes feature a landing page; however, there are also paid options.

Common but important Features:

Use Google Analytics to keep tabs on who is visiting your site and where they come from. It is important that you know where you are getting visitors from so that you can work harder to bring in more readers. The more you pay attention to your statistics, the bigger your site will become. You have various plugin to display the Google Analytics data. These plugins are not perfect. Manytimes, you get spurious statistics with these plugins. Why not consider putting your own analytics server like PIWIK (www.piwik.org) ?

When looking for a template, look for one that has the basic layout and design that you desire for your site. This way, you would not have to customize it too much in order to give it the look that you want. This will cut down on your site development time. Sometimes, you select a template that is catchy but by this process you may neglect to evaluate the fact that quality of the template is not determined by the visual appeal alone. A template is as good as the coding behind it. Badly coded template drags the site down and takes a long time to load. A simple but fully customizable template like Graphene should be considered as a good template.  I personally attach a lot of importance on selection of template alone.

Remember that social media is integral to the success of both blogs and websites today, so you should install social networking plugins which allow you to share your content through your accounts. Facebook Connect is one example of an excellent tool to use to repost your content to your Facebook account. Again, these plugins are dime a dozen. You should experiment a bit to find out the best suitable one for you. A poorly coded social plugin spoils the party. It will make your page load slow and will be responsible for the slowness of the site overall.

You no longer have to approve or disapprove comments manually. Try using Akismet (plugin) for this. It is possible for you to receive an email whenever a comment is posted, but unchecking manual approval is the best course of action so that authors need not have their comments approved prior to posting. You won’t be saving any time if you do not.

Is it hard for you to post at scheduled times? Write your posts when you want and set the time when it should be posted. When you open a page for a new posting, you have the option to time the publication. So, write in advance and line up your posts in order to have them published at a regular interval.

Do you have too much going on with the functions in WordPress? Try turning off buttons you don’t use. Just go to SCREEN OPTIONS in the upper portion of the window. Click on this and a drop-down menu will give you the option to turn boxes off.

The only way to learn WordPress is by practicing it. You can sign up for a free accountin WordPress.com and start experimenting with its multitude of features. Change images, background color, font sizes, etc. The more you get your hands on it, the more comfortable you will feel about using it.

Let people comment on your posts. This will help foster a community feeling and will allow you to get to know your readers better. Different plugins can help you weed through and figure out which are the “real” comments and which are just spammers.

Your first WordPress plugin install should be Jetpack. The plugin extends the usability of WordPress in a lot of important ways. For instance, it gives you some basic analytics on the main page of the dashboard. It also increases your social media options for your website and adds in contact form options.

You need to make sure that yourWordPress bloghas some security installed. There are times when your blog may be vulnerable due to technical issues. Hackers love exploiting these weaknesses and wreaking havoc on your site. You can use plugins to prevent this. There are also plugins that can back up your data should anything happen to your site.

Performance of the site :

Minimize the number of WordPress plugins you use. It’s cool and fun to use plugins, but the more you install, the longer it will take your users to load your site. They can slow down things considerably, impacting your search engine rank. Websites that are slow usually don’t rank as highly as sites that are optimized for speed.

Optimization :

If you are doing a WordPress blog for professional or search engine optimization purposes, don’t let WordPress actually host your blog. Put your blog on a different host and then just use the WordPress application there. Blogs at WordPress’ website are sometimes deleted for being too commercial or deemed spammy in content. The bottom-line is, it is always useful (at a later stage) to find out and shift to independent hosting site with a free or commercial provider

Make the most of your titles and your descriptions. Any time you share posts on social media sites a description and title may be required. These are important in terms of good search engine optimization, so don’t just toss out titles and descriptions in a random fashion. Give it some thought and optimize with good keywords.

Before installing WordPress, take some time for education. The more prepared you are, the simpler the process of setting up your page will be. Learn all you can about SEO, good content and usingWordPress to your advantage.

Selection of Plugin :

Plugins are plug and play code. Just activate them to get a certain feature but always remember that your original coding (template) may be completely different from plugin coding. and on top of that coding style many not be same in all the plugins. So, there is always a chance of overall site misbehavior by using multiple plugin. Selection of plugin can make or break a site.

Minimize the number of WordPress plugins you use. Remember that your site’s load time increases for every plugin you install. The web site will load more slowly and affect your search engine rank. Websites that run slow get ranked lower by search engines compared to websites optimized for speed

Connect your posts by utilizing internal linking plugins. This provides your readers with additional content to peruse while visiting your site. Plugins like that usually ad links following each blog post, basing that on your tagged posts.

Try to manage your comments. No one wants to look at spam. Don’t let the spam in your blog’s comment sections get out of hand. Try to eliminate spam entirely or, at least, keep it to a minimum. Install a plugin that can cut down on spam. Delete any spam that slips through in your comments. DownloadAkismet immediately with a fresh WordPress install.Akismet is a plugin forWordPress that basically blocks spam comments as they come in. If you don’t have it installed, you may be inundated with tons of spam. You’ll need to get a free key from the Akismet website to finalize the install.

Now that you have this great advice in mind, your next step is to put it to use. Install WordPress and start to play with all of its features. Once you feel comfortable, publish your site and enjoy your new internet presence! Continue to read articles like this so you can stay on top of new advances
