Make your own #butter #toppings

2016-02-20Here are four easy to make butter mixtures for toppings that will make you want to lick your fingers till the last bit.

Spread it on hot toast, between a double-decker sandwich, over grilled mushrooms, on chicken kebabs, soups, fish and salads. It goes with everything. These easy to make butter toppings are healthy, delicious and a great accompaniment with any food as they add up as great toppings. Be it your house warming party, that neighborhood kitty party or an evening candlelight dinner with your sweetheart. You’re sure to get compliments through the evening as your guests wipe the dishes clean.

Garlic, Parsley and red chilli flake butter

Beat about 2tbsp finely chopped parsley, 4-5 crushed garlic cloves and 1tbsp red chilli flakes into salted butter (at room temperature). If using unsalted butter add some fine sea salt into it.

Parmesan cheese, basil and tomato butter

Beat 8-10 fresh finely chopped basil leaves, 4 rounded tbsp of grated/chopped Parmesan cheese and 1 tbsp of finely chopped sundried tomato into salted butter (at room temperature). If using unsalted butter add some fine sea salt into it.

Green chilli and coriander butter with lime zest (optional)

Beat 1 finely chopped green chilli and 2tbsp coriander into salted butter (at room temperature). If using lime, grate the zest of 1 lime and add to the mixture. If using unsalted butter add some fine sea salt into it.

Mint, onions and coriander butter

Beat 7-8 finely chopped mint leaves, 1 big finely chopped onion and 2tbsp finely chopped coriander into salted butter (at room temperature). If using unsalted butter add some fine sea salt into it.
