Quick breakfast recipe for office goers

Preparing breakfast can be a tiring task for most individuals. No wonder then that most people tend to skip it all together and prefer to roll off the bed, put on some clothes at rush out of the door.

But there are benefits to eating breakfast. For eg: if you are afraid to put on weight then breakfast can help avoid it. If you lack energy then breakfast is the best way to fight lethargy. But the trick lies in preparing a healthy breakfast and for office goers it should me prepared in few minutes. That’s when the nutritionist steps in; Neelanjana Singh with Heinz Nutri Life Clinic shares her quick breakfast recipes that promise to energize and provide healthy nutrients.
Granola with nuts: This mixture can be prepared in advance and kept ready for consumption.

Mix 1 cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon almonds slices (slivered).

Take 1/4th cup honey. Add to it 1 tbsp. cooking oil(canola/olive/rice bran/peanut) and a pinch of salt. Put this mixture over a stove to heat gently and stir for one minute over the fire.

Stir this honey mixture over the oats and seed mixture till it is well coated.

Spread this mixture over a baking sheet in a moderately heated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Make sure that the mixture is evenly browned but not burnt.

Let the mixture cool and then store in an airtight oven.

Take a couple of tablespoons of this mixture with cold or hot low fat milk. This makes for a healthy, sumptuous breakfast food.
